Local professional artist, Pinky Wittingslow, will introduce you to this beautiful and ancient art form by explaining different fibres and the ways to spin them. You will learn to spin on a drop spindle with the opportunity to have a go on Pinky's spinning wheels, or even your own.
You will have the opportunity to purchase a drop spindle and fibre to keep spinning at home or have Pinky check your wheel over so you can get up and spinning.
Wheel maintenance kits will also be available for purchase on the day.
