Service Description
About: This class will take you to the next level, from confidently threading your machine, sewing accurately and having a very basic understanding of sewing to being able to attempt more complex skills and techniques. This class will start to introduce you to more types of fabrics and the equipment you need to sew them confidently. The first part of a lesson will be a skill session where you will learn and practice new skills. You can also be work on a project of your choice. These lessons are guided lessons where the tutor will give you some independence and assist you as needed. Including but not limited to: ❊ Reading patterns and laying them out ❊ Taking body measurements ❊ Making simple adjustments to patterns ❊ Making a basic toile ❊ Darts, tucks, pleats and gathers ❊ Pockets ❊ Buttons and closures ❊ Facings and finishes ❊ Zippers
