Join our "Fitting your shape" class at Flourish, where you’ll learn to create a basic pattern block using your unique body measurements. In our small group setting, we can take time to ensure that each student is able to create individual pattern blocks that actually fit. Our goal is to take away the guess work when making garments for yourself. as you craft a calico garment, ensuring the perfect fit tailored just for you. Discover the joy of fashion that fits your shape while expanding your knowledge in a supportive environment! Over the Course of 3 weeks - Individual measurements taken (wear a comfortable T-shirt and Leggings. Not too tight) - We will then match your measurements to the appropriate Pattern Block - Bodice, Skirt and Sleeve. Make adjustments to the block according to your measurements. - Cut the adjusted Block out in calico. - Stitch the calico toile (test garment). - Fit the toile. - Make any adjustments that need to be made. - Create a final Personalised Block in patternmaking board. - Learn how to compare your block to commercial patterns.
